วันที่ ๒๕ ตุลาคม ค.ศ.๒๐๒๕ : สมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีจิกมี เคซอร์ นัมเกล วังชุก, สมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีจิกมี ซิงเย วังชุก (พระมหากษัตริย์ลำดับที่ ๔ แห่งภูฏาน), สมเด็จพระราชินีเจตซุน เพมา วังชุก และสมเด็จพระราชชนนีเชอริง ยางดน วังชุก ได้ทรงประกอบพิธีสวดมนต์และจุดตะเกียง (butterlamps) จำนวน ๑,๐๐๐ ดวง ณ หอหลวง Grand Kuenrey เพื่อระลึกถึงสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ของไทย

พระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ พร้อมด้วยนายกรัฐมนตรี เจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูง คณะทูตานุทูต และประชาชนชาวไทยที่พำนักในภูฏาน เพื่อถวายความเคารพต่อสมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง

สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เสด็จสวรรคตอย่างสงบเมื่อวันที่ ๒๔ ตุลาคม ๒๕๖๘ สิริพระชนมายุ ๙๓ พรรษา ในฐานะสมเด็จพระราชินีและสมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวงแห่งประเทศไทย พระองค์ทรงเป็นที่เคารพสักการะในฐานะ "แม่แห่งชาติ" ผู้ทรงอุทิศพระชนม์ชีพเพื่อการบำเพ็ญพระราชกรณียกิจแก่ปวงชนชาวไทย และเพื่อการอนุรักษ์มรดกทางธรรมชาติและวัฒนธรรมของประเทศไทย

25 October 2025: His Majesty The King, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, and Her Majesty Gyalyum Tshering Yangdoen Wangchuck offered prayers and lit one thousand butterlamps at the Grand Kuenrey of Tashichhodzong in memory of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother of Thailand.

Their Majesties were joined by the Prime Minister, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and Thai citizens living in Bhutan to pay respects to Queen Sirikit.

Her Majesty Queen Sirikit passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 93. As Queen and Queen Mother of Thailand, she was revered as the Mother of the Nation, who devoted her life to the service of the Thai people and to the preservation of Thailand’s natural and cultural heritage.

Bhutan and Thailand share close bonds of friendship and goodwill, strengthened by the deep ties between the Royal Families.

The people of Bhutan join the people of Thailand in mourning the passing of a beloved Queen deeply admired for her grace and service to her people.
